Remember- you all need photo ID (photocard driving license or passport, student ID). Without this you won’t be allowed into the prison!

Clothing:

  • Men - shirt, trousers and tie (so we don't get confused with prisoners!)
  • Women - trousers and a 'sensible' top with flat shoes (Linda says dress so you feel secure and comfortable with it being all male prison). No low cut/cleavage tops please!
  • No handbags
  • No jeans, no hoodies, no hats
  • Apparently a coat is advisable as the prison can be a bit cold!

Items:

  • Following are NOT allowed inside the prison (£1 coin lockers are available at gate-house to store things in)
  • Mobile phones / other electronic items
  • Money
  • Sweets / credit cards/ perfume etc
  • Sharp items e.g files / scissors etc
  •

Other:

  • Emergency medications (e.g asthma inhalers) Are allowed. However it is best to inform the prison officer about this, just to be on the safe side.
